At Joseph Hillenmeyer + Associates our process is divided into five stages
Conception
Our designers first get to know you, your site, and your needs. In this stage, we start to put our ideas on paper, looking at the general characteristics of your property. Initial concept plans are developed while you in turn guide us with your own ideas and feedback. We are then able to provide you with tentative project costs to make sure we can accomplish your goals while staying within your budget.
Documentation
The Documentation Stage allows you to begin to see concrete images of what your property is going to look like. We consider your site conditions, code requirements and location to make sure all of our proposals coordinate. Using both classical hand drawn plans and renderings as well as state of the art computer animation, we are able to walk you through your project making sure everything is exactly to your desire.
Construction
Managing your own projects is a hassle. Over the years we have developed a professional staff and an accomplished list of sub-contractors. During this stage we make sure that all of our plans are properly executed. From installing plant material to managing the construction of pools and walls, we make sure the plans are done right, on time, and completed within budget.
Enjoy
This is the best part of any project, when you have the chance to start enjoying your new outdoor space. Your garden will subtely change with the seasons, revealing new discoveries over time. We often find that our clients feel they have gained much more than just a garden. They have added a whole new way in which to relax and enjoy the beauty of their home.
Maintain
We provide you with all of your horticultural care needs so that you can focus on enjoying your new garden insteading of worrying about maintenance needs. From updating seasonal color in the garden to tree and shrub pruning and creating topiaries and espaliers, we offer professional care and advice that will keep your garden the place of comfort and beauty you envisioned.
